SpringFest 1K-5K-10K Offers Something for Everyone
Join your friends and neighbors for the 2019 SpringFest Fun Run and Walk on Sunday, June 2 at 9 a.m. in White Salmon. Walk or run your way through quiet streets with awesome views while raising money for a great cause. Proceeds from this year’s event support the Community Youth Center.
Choose the course that’s right for you! The Fun Run and Walk offers two 5K courses and the option to combine them into one beautiful 10K. Plus, the popular Kids 1K is an awesome way for our youngest athletes to get involved.
- The 1-K is a loop around Whitson Elementary School and Rheingarten Park.
- On the Town 5K, participants wind their way through White Salmon’s residential streets with beautiful views of Mt. Hood and Hospital Hill, gentle grade changes and a short jaunt through the forest.
- The Strawberry Mountain Loop 5K challenges runners and walkers to make their way up, around and down this gorgeous area while being treated to stunning views of Mt. Hood, the western Gorge, Underwood Mountain and Hospital Hill. This course is well worth the extra effort.
- Runners and walkers can combine the Strawberry Mountain Loop and the Town Loop for 10 kilometers of the best White Salmon has to offer.
- Join in the Kids 1K at 9:00 a.m. The 5K and 10K will start at 9:30 a.m. All courses start and end at Rheingarten Park. Refreshments will be available along the way and at the finish.
Online pre-registration is $10.00 for individuals, $20.00 for a family. Day-of registration is $10 for the 1K, $15 per individual for the 5K and 10K, and $25 for a family. Registration at the event begins at 8:15 a.m. in the covered picnic pavilion.
Don’t want to walk or run but still want to join in the fun? The event is currently looking for volunteers to help with aid stations, event set-up and day-of registration.
